Architecture during the Renaissance was the revival of ancient Roman forms, including characteristics like columns, round arches, the tunnel vault, and finally the epic dome. Architecture in the Renaissance was a replacement of the more complex medieval Gothic style. This movement of a new style of architecture started in Florence, Italy.
