The art of the Renaissance was greatly inspired by religion, ancient Greek and Romans, and science, especially the anatomy. There was high regard for personality and a new perspective on humans and how they were painted. There were themes of realism, light, composition, and linear perspective. Paintings and frescos from the Renaissance are still some of the most well-known works today.
